A novel Spectrum Estimation Algorithm Based on Compressed Sensing and Multi-taper Method

چکیده
To estimate the wideband or multi-channel signals’ spectrum swiftly and exactly is a key technology to improve the performance of wideband spectrum sensing. The paper was proposed a novel spectrum estimation algorithm based on compressed sensing (CS) and multitaper method (MTM), which is called CS-MTM. The new algorithm was validated by single-tone, multi-tone and QPSK signals. Meanwhile, the paper has validated six common random meaurement matrixes which can be used in compressed spectrum estimation algorithm successfully. Simulation results show that the proposed approach can potentially achieve better performance than multi-taper method combined with singular-value decomposition based on compressed sensing(CS-MTM-SVD) in complexity, accuracy and real-time property.

متن کاملNeural Reconstruction with Approximate Message Passing (NeuRAMP)
Many functional descriptions of spiking neurons assume a cascade structure where inputs are passed through an initial linear filtering stage that produces a lowdimensional signal that drives subsequent nonlinear stages. This paper presents a novel and systematic parameter estimation procedure for such models and applies the method to two neural estimation problems: (i) compressed-sensing based ...
متن کاملA Study of Low-variance Multi-taper Features for Distributed Speech Recognition
In this paper we study low-variance multi-taper spectrum estimation methods to compute the mel-frequency cepstral coefficient (MFCC) features for robust speech recognition. In speech recognition, MFCC features are usually computed from a Hamming-windowed DFT spectrum. Although windowing helps in reducing the bias of the spectrum, but variance remains high. Multitaper spectrum estimation methods...

However, video quality based on this method is limited by existing acquisition and recovery methods, and the method a...
متن کاملDOA Estimation for Multi-Band Signal Sources Using Compressed Sensing Techniques with Khatri-Rao Processing
Much attention has recently been paid to direction of arrival (DOA) estimation using compressed sensing (CS) techniques, which are sparse signal reconstruction methods. In our previous study, we developed a method for estimating the DOAs of multi-band signals that uses CS processing and that is based on the assumption that incident signals have the same complex amplitudes in all the bands. That...
